Robert has over eight years’ experience in the construction and engineering industries providing commercial management, contract administration and claims management services to clients in the UK and internationally. He holds a Bachelors degree in Commercial Management & Quantity Surveying from Loughborough University and is currently working towards a Master of Law from Robert Gordon University. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Chartered Institute of Building and Quantity Surveyors International. Robert has major claims experience in Europe and the Middle East and has worked on a number of high profile projects in a variety of sectors including oil & gas, commercial, residential, leisure, hospitality and infrastructure.
As a Quantity Surveyor, Robert has worked for main Contractors within the United Kingdom. He has worked on heavy civil engineering ventures, including large rail and tunnelling projects which required stations to be fully operational throughout construction. Robert now advises on contractual and commercial issues on major projects throughout the Middle East. He has proven ability to address problematic situations in a composed and professional manner.
Robert is familiar with a wide range of UK and international contracts including International Federation of Consulting Engineers [FIDIC], New Engineering Contract [NEC] as well as various bespoke forms of contract. He is adept with major forms of commercial and collaboration software.
